Navy's firefly birthday surprise

Well this took two weeks to do... So I'm very sorry for those who were expecting drawings from me. I'm not dead... (yet)! I love the results of this picture! In fact I was going to selfish and wait until next week for the deadline to submit this artwork. (It would probably been a nice surprise for Navy...) But, my internet poof out yesterday... So I better not take any risk in waiting for the deadline and just finish it.

This drawing was also very breaking every inch of my poor crappy laptop. I need a new one... I'm ordering a new one sometime in may, this one should at least take difficult drawings such as this one. This is also my third time doing backgrounds... Slowly getting up there I just need to work on the grass more. I wanted this art work to have lots of glow and color in it. Anyway...

Happy birthday ! This drawing is for her birthday contest. I took the challenge so I can work on my backgrounds I am glad I did. Lots of Art blocks, and Staying up late for the countless two weeks of making this was dreadful, but once I started coloring the two ponies in this Artwork, Iris Mint (my OC) and Navy (Her Oc) That's when things started to get fun.

In the Alpha version of this drawing there was not going to be Navy or Iris Mint, it was just going to be 's mane six ponies, In this kind of scenery during daytime though.. However thanks to the Artblock. I had scratched off that project and looked over her contest rules. Melody really wanted her persona in this... So I decided to ponify Navy and have my Oc celebrating with her, a festive firefly night.

I had this kind of celebration last year, with just a friend. It was not a big party it was a small one We had a celebration outside the cake was small just like the one in the drawing but lightening up the candles in that cake made it glow, it was just beautiful! So I decided to do the same thing with this drawing.

I'm sorry if It did not fit your theme Celebration Melody, but it has almost all of your Persona's likes. I Even made her cutie mark a wolf with a crescent shape full moon. Because you know, she likes full moons Happy happy 20th birthday! I hope you have a wonderful celebration!
